JoGo Logistics

From skipper’s son to logistics expert

The thread running through the career of managing director Peter Joos is inland shipping. As the son of a family of skippers, he attended higher nautical college. Later he became river pilot and harbour captain. “I have always worked in the maritime world and have always looked for ways to realize the modal shift,” says Peter Joos.

Transport by road and water with transshipment and storage

JoGo Logistics strongly believes in managing the logistics chain, but of course you can also rely on us for just road transport, inland waterway transport or for storage and transshipment.

The vision of JoGo Logistics

Implementing the modal shift

In order to reduce traffic jams and make the change to greener logistics, JoGo Logistics strongly believes in modal shift. Transport by water streamlines your logistics because water transport is faster and more reliable. But it’s also an ecological story because a ship can carry more cargo, while emitting less CO2 than a truck.

Customer-oriented service

The best logistics solution for your project

We go for a qualitative, personal and transparent approach. As an extension of your logistics department we look together for the best logistic solution. We take stock of your options and determine where we can cut costs. This is based on the volumes you transport annually or monthly to one or more destinations. Consolidating loads with different shippers is one of the options.

Our customers are involved in every step of the modal shift process, down to the last detail. We translate their needs into a solution

JoGo Logistics loads our ships. They take care of the entire logistics chain from stock to loading and unloading the ship. We can load or unload a full 400 tonne barge in about four hours time.

After the transport and storage of 10,000 railway sleepers, we delivered them on demand to the various sites of railway company Infrabel.”

Thanks to pallet cross-over, loading a ship becomes the same as loading a truck. You place a forklift truck in the hold and on the quay and thanks to a table on the side of the ship you can do the transshipment.
